Artist Statement
Transforming a room or space into something unrecognizable from original form, through sculpted light fixtures made of one or all of each medium, metal, ceramic, wood, paint, and some sort of light source (i.e., L.E.D., neon, halogen, high pressure sodium, florescent, fire).
Tools used for sculpting are a mig and tig welder, plasma cutter, grinder,
variety of saws, clay tools, hands, and a kiln.
Inspiration comes from many places first off my father was a mechanical
engineer/inventor, he is the one that exposed me to huge machines,
incinerators and brain storming, second my wife who has exposed me to the art
world in general and ceramics, third shadows and movement whether it be
in nature or an art performance
